USC Basketball Recruiting

5-Star 2020 C Evan Mobley - Pangos All-American Camp

June 4, 2018

Each time I see Evan Mobley play I wonder if he'll ever play college basketball. He's still growing into his body and will become much more athletic over the next few years, but he just looks like a future NBA player biding his time until he's eligible to be drafted.

If he does end up at USC, and I highly doubt it would be for more than a season, he brings a dominance on both sides of the court USC fans have never seen. He's 6-10, can block shots with ease, can post up and get to the bucket with regularity, and he can shoot from the outside. He's also a good passer and can take the ball up the court like a point guard....maybe that's stretching it?

Mobley looks like the best prospect on the court at each event he competes at. I've heard and read Kevin Garnett references about Mobley and while I often find comparsons like that far fetched, it's spot on with Evan Mobley. His talent is off the charts.

A week ago we first saw Mobley at the Compton Magic's Memorial Day Weekend event at Orange Lutheran, this past weekend he was competing with his brother at the Pangos All-American Camp at Cerritos College.
