This spring was an improvement over the last two (I don't count 2020) but a far cry from the thumping tribal drum beat of pads a poppin at the height of the Pete Carroll years.

Then again, it's never good to always be lookin back (the song Glory days comes on the radio) lest you lose all reference and run off the road into a brick wall. Know your history, just don't get lost in it...

Change is an ever present part of life. Those youngmen are or soon will be finding this out first hand. Some will go the way of graduation into the next phase of life. Others via the portal into the next chapter of their football careers. For those of the latter, a new team/campus/staff & playbook await. A Chance too begin anew. In their place will be even more youngmen who are seeking a new chance. A shot at proving they can go forward and possibly hear the phone ring on draft day.

But a changing of the roster Isn't the only thing afoot at Heritage Hall. A Return too Glory from distant days of recent past. A Return too Championship form and with it the chance at playing for a Championship against those who are the present day Gold Standard. The SEC & Clemson. Fine; I'll mention the Suckeyes too, but Not willingly! It was 16 years ago when last an SC team was good enough too instill Fear in opponents far & wide. Good enough that NFL scouts salavated over the Sr's & Draft elegible Jr's who would hear the phone ring and the voice of their soon to be new boss welcoming them aboard. It's hard to believe it was from the ashes of that failed attempt at a 3 Pete that the demise of the once Mighty Trojan Empire would smolder.

It's time for a look back, too the Future of what Can Be! A return too the Glory of Trojan Championship teams of recent past...

Fight On!!
