AJ Duffy‍ recieved his offer from the Trojans on January 30th of this year and he put out this tweet:

Now, Duffy has racked up nearly 30 offers from many top teams in College Football. Teams like Oregon, Auburn, LSU, Penn St, Arizona St and more have all threw their name in the hat to hopefully land him when he eventually makes his decision.

Duffy has good size for a QB as he measures in at 6’1” 195. He has mobility that allows for him to escape pressure and potentially scramble for a first down if need be.

We decided to speak with Duffy to see where he currently stands with the Trojans, and what is causing him to have interest in USC.

AJ DUFFY and SETH COHEN Q&A:

Seth Cohen: What has caused you to have interest in USC?

AJ Duffy: Its an all time great program and school and of course I’m from SoCal so I’m familiar with their legacy.

SC: Is playing close to home something important to you and your family?

AD: It would be cool to be close to home but it’s all about the fit for more

SC: Do you talk with Graham Harrell often?

AD: A few times a month. I also talk to Coach Helton and Coach (Seth) Doege

SC: What have you taken away from your talks with Coach Harrell?

AD: That the future is very bright at USC and the offense seems like a great fit for my skill set

SC: What have you taken away from your talks with Coach Helton?

AD: He’s a very genuine person and seems to really care about the kids and the program. I really enjoy our conversations and getting to know him

SC: How often are you talking with Clay?

AD: Every 2 weeks usually

SC: Do the coaches talk to you about how you would potentially fit into the Trojan offense?

AD: Yes they think what I do fits the their offense quite well

SC: When watching USC’s offense, does it look like it would be fun to play in as a quarterback?

AD: Of course, they throw the ball around and score a lot of points. It’s a very quarterback friendly offense!

SC: Are there any guys (other than coaches) that are trying to get you to USC? Like players on the team or committed now

AD: I’ve talked to Kedon Slovis a few times

SC: How did you get in contact with him? What has he told you about USC?

AD: Over the phone and just told me it’s the place to be and the the coaches are the real deal.

SC: As somebody who has gone through the (recruiting) process, has he given you any tips on how to go about it?

AD: He hasn’t really told me any tips or anything, he just talked to me about how USC is and how the program is trending upwards.

SC: Do you feel that you have built up trust with the coaches, and that they view you as a priority?

AD: Yea I have built great relationships with Coach Harrel, Helton, and Doege. They have treated me as a priority since day 1 and have really taken the time to get to know me and my family.

SC: When was the first time you were in contact with the Trojans coaching staff?

AD: January this year

SC: In terms of academics, what does USC provide to you?

AD: Good academics means a lot to me and my parents and USC provides that for sure!

SC: Do you have any idea of what you want to study in college?

AD: Havent put in to much thought into that but business has always interested me

SC:The Marshall School of Business at USC is one of the top ones in the nation, so that is a great option. What are some of the other teams that are high up on your list now?

AD: I don’t really have a list yet , I’m still building relationships and getting to know all the coaches/schools that have offered me.

SC: Does it mean a lot to you that USC has shown interest in you so early in the process?

AD: Yeah it’s been very cool building this relationship with them.

SC:Have you gotten the chance to get out to USC’s campus?

AD: Yea I’ve been a few times

SC: What have you taken away from those visits?

AD: That everything there is the real deal

SC: Do you have any idea of when you plan on cutting down a list of schools or eventually committing?

AD: Not in a hurry at all so maybe this time next year
