Earnest Greene III ‍ recieved an offer from the Trojans back in May of 2019. This offer was his first among teams from his home state of California. As of now, he has 20 offers coming from teams like Alabama, Ohio St, Oregon, Oklahoma, Penn St, LSU and more.

Greene is a 6’4” 300 lb offensive tackle from St. John Bosco in Bellflower, who has versatility to also play on the interior of the offensive line. He isn’t limited to one side, as he has potential to as a tackle on the right or left of the line. Overall, Greene has a great set of skills that could make him great in college, and eventually on sundays.

Seth Cohen: What interests you about USC?

Earnest  Greene: The fact that I could stay home, their success in the 21 class with their commits and the marketing in Southern California when I’ll be in college to get a job after football or possible endorsements and stuff of that nature

SC: How often are you talking with Coach Tim Drevno?

EG: I talk to Coach Drevno pretty often on FaceTime often times with Max (Gibbs) who already committed

SC: Is Max Gibbs trying to commit you to USC?

EG: Of course you know that’s what it’s all about just a lil friendly recruiting no harm in that

SC: What have you taken away from your talks with Coach Drevno?

EG: That at USC they are really promoting this take take back the west stuff seriously. Also we’ve talked about how he likes my talents and how I’d fit in their offense

SC: Do you believe that pass blocking is one of your strengths as a lineman?

EG: Well I’d say that my strengths is my arm length, athletic ability, technique, strength, and hand placement but in a way that all falls into pass blocking so if you want to say that they yeah I guess you could say that.

SC: What other coaches have you gotten the chance to talk with?

EG: I’ve been in contact with Coach Helton and Drevno but I’m honestly in contact with Coach V (Viane Talamaivao) and Gavin (Morris) more often then not

SC: What have you taken away from your talks with the other coaches?

EG: Oh I can just see that the interest is there with them and they feel that they will take the west back over and they want me to be apart of that

SC: Does the high level education that USC can provide to you eventually go into your decision?

EG: Well I’m 100 percent certain that I will major in Entrepreneurship in college so a school with a great Entrepreneurship program will play a role in my college decision

SC: I know that the Marshall school of business is one of the top business schools in the country

EG: Yessir it is Coach Helton and Coach Drevno told me that and went over with me and my family

SC: You have offers from all over the country, so is being close to home and family something important to you?

EG: Not really that aspect doesn’t play a major factor

SC: So it’s more about finding the right place, as opposed to being close to home?

EG: Yessir

SC: As of now, you haven’t put out any lists of top schools, but would you consider USC to be one of your top schools at the moment?

EG: Yessir they would be among the schools I have interest in

SC: What are some of the other schools that are among the ones that you have interest in?

EG: I was thinking about possibly dropping a top 10 within the next month or so, so yea that list will answer that question in what schools I have the most interest in

SC:  Does being in LA add any interest to USC? Like with the surrounding city and environment?

EG: But yea a little bit you know I’ll know the environment, know where it’s good to eat at, I’ll see my family more often little things like that

SC: Does your family prefer for you to stay closer to home?

EG: Well they want me to make the best decision for me and my future but of course they would like to see me more and see me more often
