SCoopTV: Episode 5.7.20 with USC CB Chris Steele

May 6, 2020

Cornerback Chris Steele hasn't even been at USC for an entire year yet, but he’s one of the more popular players with the fans and he also made a significant impact last season as a true freshman for the Trojans.

Although we've only known him for three years, it seems like it's been much longer than that.

His road to USC included a stop in a Gainesville and plans to play in Eugene for the Oregon Ducks, but he ended up at his dream school, remained in Los Angeles close to home, he's playing for the head coach he's always had an enormous respect for in Clay Helton and as luck would have it, he'll be playing for the Defensive Backs coach who nearly signed Steele at Oregon, Donte Williams.

To say Steele was excited over the Trojans adding Williams to the staff would be a gross understatement. On Wednesday night, Steele joined Scott Schrader, Marc Kulkin, Blake Atwell and Josh An for our latest episode of SCoopTV He talked about Williams, where the USC football program is at now versus a year ago, the level of confidence the players have with the new defensive coaches Todd Orlando, Craig Naivar and Vic So’oto and much, much more.
