BREAKING: 2020 TE Jack Yary Commits to USC

February 3, 2020

USC is adding a legacy back to their 2020 recruiting class with tight end Jack Yary pledging back to the Trojans. Yary, the son of USC legend Ron Yary, originally committed to USC back in May before de-committing a few months ago with the uncertainty regarding Clay Helton’s future. He becomes the Trojans’ 13th player in the class.

After taking visits to a few other schools, Yary ultimately decided to commit again to USC. As a junior, Yary caught 33 passes for 386 yards and 6 touchdowns in 8 games. As a senior he caught 42 passes for 621 yards and 12 touchdowns. Listed at 6’6 and 255 pounds, he is a bigger tight end prospect, leading some to believe that he could follow in his father’s footsteps and potentially transition to offensive line at the next level.

If he ultimately stays at his listed position, he will join Ethan Rae, Jude Wolfe, and Josh Falo in the Trojans’ tight end room, and be coached by the recently promoted John David Baker.
