BREAKING: WR Gary Bryant Jr. commits to USC

January 4, 2020

In what’s been a challenging year of recruiting for USC, the Trojans’ coaching staff finally secured a win when talented Corona Centennial WR Gary Bryant Jr. announced his commitment to join the 2020 class.

Bryant Jr., who received an offer in 2018, had consistently high interest in the Trojans and sources close to him said USC was the team to beat for a while. USC Scoop reported that Bryant Jr.’s bond with former Centennial teammates like Drake Jackson was a huge part in his interest, and he also sees himself as an ideal fit in Graham Harrell’s offense. Bryant Jr. was consistently around USC during the season watching film with the team and was a priority for the Trojan coaching staff.

USC was able to beat out schools like Oklahoma and Washington, among others, for Bryant’s signature and he will learn under the tutelage of WR coach Keary Colbert during his Trojan career. He joins Joshua Jackson Jr. as the 2nd receiver in the 2020 class.

Here’s website publisher Scott Schrader’s evaluation of the explosive Bryant Jr:

“Gary Bryant Jr. is one of the most athletically gifted wide receivers for 2020. He’s acrobatic, has an impressive vertical, high points the ball extremely well, has track speed, already runs routes like a college upper classman and a coach will never have to worry about him on or off the field. I believe he’s a Five-Star prospect. He will be ready to play at USC as a true freshman.”
