A large crowd is anticiapted Friday night(10/18) when USC  hosts national powerhouse Villanova in an exhibition game, with all of the proceeds from the event going to the California Fire Foundation, which helps families of firefighters and the communities they protect.

USC vs Villanova Game Info.

Tickets for the game are only $20.00 if purchased online and $25.00 at the door.  Tip off is scheduled for 8:00PM.

The game may not have any meaning as far as the standings are concerned, but the game does have meaning for both teams.  Both USC, who have 8 new faces and Villanova, who have 6 new faces on their respective rosters are still learning to play together.  However, even though the teams are young and inexperienced, both squads are extremely talented and the court will be littered with top 100 players and MacDonalds All Americans.

Trojan fans will recognize senior leaders Jonah Matthews and Nick Rakocevic, as well as returning sophomores Elijah Weaver and Charles O’Bannon.  After those four guys, the roster is full of fresh faces highlighted by super freshman additions, Onyeka Okangwu and Isaiah Mobley.   The Trojans also added two sharp shooting guards via the grad-transfer and their immediate eligibilty brings an added dimension which has been inconsistent over the last few years.

The additions of guards Daniel Utomi from Akron University and Quinton Adlesh from Columbia University provide Coach Andy Enfield with some much needed experience to assist with the integration process, as well much needed depth from outside the arc.  Both guys shoot over 40% from 3-point range and their skill set matches up pefectly with the Trojans length and athleticism on the block.

With both teams breaking in new players, the game could get off to a slow start and have a sloppy feel to it. Eventually the guys should settle in and their natural talent will take over.

Trojan fans shold recognize these types of powerhouse teams rarely venture out west, so come out and support your Trojans and also get a glimpse of Villanova because if there is a program to gauge yourself against, I can’t think of a better one.

USC Scoop plans to be at the game and every home game bringing you all the latest information surrounding the team.  From what we’ve seen in our limited access, Trojan fans have a lot to be excited about.  This is by far the most talented team going back to the Elite-8 squad of Sam Clancy, Brandon Granville, Brian Scalabrine, Jeff Trepagnier, David Blutenthal, etal.,..

Get out to Galen this year Trojan fans...this team is going to make some serious noise and will be fun to watch.
