On Day 3: Defense Brought The Heat

The defensive numbers last year for the Trojans were average at best and mediocre at worst, and the numbers speak for themselves.  Whether it was the 67th ranked rushing defense allowing an average of 165 yards per game or the Trojan’s 61st ranked passing defense which surrendering 223 yards per game, the defense had a hard time getting off the field.  By the end of the season they were a beaten bunch which was never more evident then in the UCLA game.   The Trojan defense rolled over when Bruin walk-on running back Joshua Kelly rushed for 289 yards on 40 carries.
