BREAKING: 2020 TE Jack Yary commits to USC

May 29, 2019

On Wednesday evening, Murrieta Valley (CA) TE Jack Yary‍  announced his commitment to USC. Yary joins Bryce Young, Parker Lewis, and Joshua Jackson Jr. for the Trojans’ 2020 class and is the son of USC legend and former first overall pick Ron Yary.

As a junior, Yary caught 33 passes for 386 yards and 6 touchdowns in 8 games. Listed at 6’6 and 255 pounds, he is a bigger tight end prospect, leading some to believe that he could follow in his father’s footsteps and potentially transition to offensive line at the next level.

If he ultimately stays at his listed position, he will join Ethan Rae, Jude Wolfe, and Josh Falo (barring an early NFL entry) in the Trojans’ tight end room, and be coached by John Baxter.

Yary, who took an unofficial visit to USC in March, also held offers from other schools such as LSU, Washington, Tennessee, and Arizona State, among others.
