Five-Star WR Kyle Ford‍ was the player everyone was talking about after each event last Spring and Summer, but he suffered a season-ending ACL tear in October and many figured he’d end up redshirting his freshman year.

The injury occurred before he announced his commitment to USC at the All-American Bowl in January and we didn’t hear much from Ford during his vigorous rehab process. A process that led to him being cleared by doctors a few weeks ago. At that time Ford told us he’d hoped to be cleared for contact at some point in the Fall.

At the end of the recruiting process there was no doubt with Ford about his commitment to the Trojans. He and his family had discussed all the pros and cons of each school and decided USC was the best fit. Plus Ford was extremely impressed with new OC Graham Harrell.

”He’s the man, for real,” said Ford when asked about his impression of Harrell.

TrojanInsider.com caught up with Ford Saturday at Steve Clarkson’s QB Retreat at Palisades HS and he talked more about Harrell, what he expects from the USC offense, whether he expects to play in 2019 and more.
